In August, Greece implemented a new plan of action in relation to immigration called "Operation Xenios Zeus" to detain and deport undocumented immigrants.
In response to this, Greece law enforcement has beat individuals, detained tourists, and targeted individuals based on their race. Ethnic nationalism and xenophobia are becoming major problems, with groups like the neo-Nazi "Golden Dawn" party being on the rise.
African-American tourists are especially targeted. An alert was put on the US State Department website warning citizens that US African-American tourists are being detained, harassed, and are having violence committed against them because of their skin color in Greece.
Please tell the Greece government to investigate the Greek police's brutality and racism!

Recently "Operation Xenios Zeus" was implemented in order to detain and deport undocumented immigrants because the government is having trouble supporting this population.
However, law enforcement has began to detain tourists, target people based on their race, and physically harm people. Groups like the neo-Nazi "Golden Dawn" party are on the rise, with ethnic nationalism and xenophobia becoming major problems. African-American tourists are especially targeted, warned by the US that Greek law enforcement will harass, detain, and be violent towards them because of their skin color.
Please investigate the Greek police's brutality and racism and address all of these issues.
