Demand a higher charge for Briley Hayes

Yesterday a friend of ours, Jessica Renea was beaten for over four hours by her ex boyfriend Briley Hayes in an attempt to keep her from leaving him.

He said "if I can't have you no one can" and then detained her and threaten her life over and over again. Montgomery County law enforcement assessed him with the charges of only "Aggrivated Assault, unlawful kidnapping, and interfering with a 911 call."

This is unacceptable. The charge should be attempted murder. We as a community need to demand that our justice system truly protect the vulnerable, and not reward this hateful act with a slap on the wrist.
