We, the undersigned, are becoming more and more wary of the quality of New Moon. There is nothing wrong with having as much star power for a movie, but Twilight is based in a world of vampires an werewolves, an how are we the fans supposed to believe in the movie if we see all these actors who have been in countless things. I know that the actors are supposed to make us believe, but it will still be a bit distracting. When we see Jane we should not be thinking of War of the Worlds or Secret Life of Bees. What should be registering in our thoughts is that is a crazy vampire who tortures people.
This is not just about the character of Jane, or a petition against Dakota. She is a very good actress, but not one who should portray Jane Volturi. If well-known actors are used throughout the whole series, the movie is going to become a joke because no one is going to believe the story. Isn't that what twilight is all about? A world within our own that is special and barely imaginable. Casting should not be about getting the biggest names it should be about who can play the part to the best portrayal of the character. If that happens to be a no name so be it. The true fans of this will be willing to wait it out if casting takes longer; it is better to take your time and make an excellent movie, versus rushing for deadlines.
