Matt Gourley, through his podcasts such as "James Bonding" and 'I was there too" has contributed to preserving the stories of Hollywood and its unsung heroes.
"I was there too" in our opinion, is the StoryCorps of the little guy in Hollywood. The actors and players he interviews are not has beens, they're just the integral glue that holds our favorite movie together. Never the stars, but the guys (and gals) juuust next to the stars, and sometime out of the frame. It is apparent how much Mr. Gourely respects and admires these actors and his professionalism is always on display and appreciated. The podcast is a labor of love for Matt, and he profits very little outside of the occasional sponsor on the show.
Matt Gourley has mentioned on past podcasts that if he ever could go back in time and be in a production, it was HBO's series "Deadwood". With the announcement of the movie that is now in production, an opportunity now presents itself:
We the undersigned, believe that Matt Gourley should be afforded the opportunity to audition, or be an extra in the "Deadwood" movie. We urge the producers to listen to his podcasts, and judge for themselves his love for their property. At the very least, it would make an excellent episode of "I was there too (no really, this time I was there), the Matt Gourley edition.
