Tell NC Pastor to Resign Over LGBT Hate Sermon

After berating the president for his stand on same-sex marriage, Pastor Charles Worley of the Providence Road Baptist Church in Maiden, NC viciously went after the LGBT community.

He told his congregation he wasn't going to vote for a "baby killer and a homosexual lover," and that it made him "puking sick."

But what's really sickening is his plan to rid the world of "lesbians and queers" - a plan that suggests enclosing both groups, separately, within large electrified fences, dropping food to them with flyovers and waiting on them to "die out."

Among those disgusted by Worley's hate-filled message is Catawba Valley Citizens Against Hate. The group wants to send a loud and clear message at a planned protest it hopes will "line the street in front of the church with people" who'll tell the world that "hate is not welcome in our community." They believe "the world is watching!"

Tell Worley the world is watching, and it wants him to resign.

We, the undersigned, call for your resignation.

The hateful sermon you gave last week calling for the suffering and death of those in the LGBT community is unacceptable.

Your words and the hatred they represent are an assault on the LGBT community and the Catawba Valley Community and an outrage to all who believe in humanity and equal rights. They are also an affront to and misrepresentation of the religion you profess to represent.

We request an immediate response to this concern and thank you for your attention to it.
