Keep Animals Educating California!

California SB 313 falsely and maliciously vilifies Californian's who humanely, responsibly and respectfully dedicate their lives to their animals and to sharing their love of animals with the people of California. (Did you know that the State of California has AMAZING animal welfare laws in place that protect our precious animal friends and punishes those who mistreat them?) SB 313 will put hard working, conscientious citizens out of business and leave their well cared for animals unable to support themselves.
There are over 300 small to medium size companies in California who bring animals to schools, libraries, nursing homes, community events, clubs like Kiwanis and Rotary. These companies and individuals are heavily regulated on the federal, state, county and local levels to insure humane, animal welfare standards govern their work. For many Californians who live in rural areas and are not near a major zoo, this will take away their opportunity to meet and learn about the wild world.
By signing this petition, you are standing strong with this small but crucial army of true animal welfare warriors and sending a message to our California legislators that you will not be fooled by click-bate wording like "circus cruelty". You will be telling them that you can read the bill, you HAVE read the bill and you urge them to vote an emphatic NO on SB 313.

You did it!
I am so very happy to inform you that SB 313 has been amended SB 313 to a circus only ban. Organizations exhibiting at schools, libraries, fairs, etc are EXCLUDED from the ban. On a side note, one circus will travel to California this year with exotic animals and they have announced that they will be their last year in California.
Your input made a huge difference. The bill still has a ways to go.
But it is going in the right direction.
