Low income well maintained previously evicted housing

Many people are and have been struggling making ends meet and finding well maintained dwellings that accept previous evictions. I mean isn't that the reason you start getting help from low income is to help with rent in the first place. But for some reason we still get the short end of the stick. These people have to accept apartments and homes that slum lords dont take care of. I mean even convicted felons get better options than those on low income. They need build homes and apartments that will be for those like me who struggle with paying rent and finding nice well maintained places to stay.
