Stop holding children in solitary confinement

Take 2 or 3 paragraphs to describe this issue to readers: why it’s important, and why they should sign.

United States jails put juveniles -- those that are under 18 -- in solitary confinement for up to months at a time, which hurts their development and makes mental issues (which many of them have) exponentially worse.

Children as young as 13 are kept in solitary confinement, sometimes spending 22 or more hours a day in complete isolation. These children hurt themselves, hallucinate, lose control and touch with reality, and often become suicidal.

They are not allowed to go to school and can only exercise alone a few times a week in a metal cage. Some of these children were convicted as adults and put into solitary confinement for protection from the actual adults they are sharing cells with. Many of these individuals were convicted of non-violent crimes like drug possession or burglary. Other times it's for punishment or for "treatment" of mental issues
