College athletes are a great source of revenue for schools these days. Universities make most of their money through ticket sales, selling college appearal or brodcasting deals. Just recently the NCAA made a deal with CBS/Turner Sports for a 11 billion dollar brodcasting deal
College Scholarships are not given out as often as most think. Each sport gets a certian amount of scholarships that can be used to give out and that number is normally split up into partial scholarships. Students rarely get full scholarships any more
These students put in 30 plus hours a week in to their respective sport. This is a problem because the schools aren't covering most of the athletes expenses which means they are not getting any sort of scholarship to play
Graduation rates would raise in schools because people would be more inclined to stay and finish their school.
More people will join college sports that didn't want to before because they wouldn't get enough rewards. This will lead to more competitive sports in the athletic department
