RTMSD Superintendent Jim Wigo Must Go

The Rose Tree Media School District is one the the best school districts in this area, and Bill Bennett was Principal of Indian Lane when it became the 9th highest ranked elementary school in the state. Superintendent, Jim Wigo, though, recommended termination for for Mr. Bennett despite his performance. At the public hearings for Mr. Bennett, we learned a lot about how Mr. Wigo and Human Resources Director, Anne Callahan, perform their jobs. We learned that Mr. Wigo and Mrs. Callahan bully teachers and staff, and they they disrespect this community of families. We've lost some excellent teachers, like Matthew Johnston, as well as other great administrators and staff. Important mistakes were made. For example: when three substitute teachers at Penncrest were fired and then were rehired only after Mr. Wigo and Mrs. Callahan were forced to own up to their errors. The first major hire made by Mr. Wigo, a Springton Lake Principal, had to resign in disgrace but only after the story hit the newspapers. It is time for the parents, teachers, students and taxpayers to help make a change in who is running this school district. Tell the School Board to vote to dismiss Mr. Wigo! Sign this petition now!

After a year which has been one of the worst in the district's 51 year history, the six people voted onto the Board could mean the start of a new chapter in RTM.

RTMSD Parents and Taxpayers, please come to this very important meeting. There are open jobs that need to be filled such as: Assistant Superintendent, Assistant Principal(SLMS) & Principal(ILES). The taxpayers & parents voices matter. Residents please speak and stand up for what is right. We want to create change. Please share and come out next Tuesday.
