Demand Missouri Govenor to look into Department of Corrections

Currently inmates at Missouri Department of Corrections, specifically Jefferson City Correctional Center are dealing with medical neglect, the situation needs to be investigated by Govener Mike Parsons. Nursing staff is currently over-riding medical recommendations set out by physicians. For instance, an inmate was ordered to have a scan done, nursing staff made inhumane request for procedure to be complete, requesting inmate to pick thru a plate of spaghetti for his meal after physician required inmate to be on a low carbohydrate, low starch diet for 24 hours prior. Also nursing staff ignored petechiae which is a blood clotting disorder commonly associated with leukemia. Govener Mike Parson's office had to be notified of the incident which with them making contact with the prison inmate was sent out and received a platelet transfer and chemotherapy. It is currently going on seven months of waiting on hematologist referral at Columbia regional medical center to perform a P.E.T scan after nursing staff said the inmate did not comply to diet recommendations, also physician ordered plastic restraints due to bleeding disorder and single cell accommodations due to low immune system. Inmate was placed in metal restraints in a small room filled with other inmates disregarding inmates immunity. Inmate has also been placed in a single cell with another inmate with a few feet accessible for movement.
With the lack of medical treatment or difficulty getting into medical for referrals to outside sources inmates are in great danger of terminal illness that could have been resolved if nursing staff followed thru with physician required orders.
I am asking Govener Mike Parson's to investigate the outsourced agency Centurion medical staff. Also, Missouri Department of Corrections medical procedures and protocol.
