In society we all have a responsibility to both ourselves and to each other to respect our own property and that of others.  Through government we collectively hire law enforcement personnel to help ensure that this occurs.  However, each of us can do our part to support law enforcement by reporting suspicious activity, creating and participating in a neighborhood watch, reporting illegal activities, etc.
