Pictures of Big Beautiful Women (BBW's) & Big Handsome Men (BHM) have been stolen off of pages created by them, for them, then dowloaded then posted on to a page dedicated to making fun of the women, shaming them, and dehumanizing them for no other reason except that they are overweight.
This page has been reported hundreds, if not thousands of times, by BBW & BHM supporters, yet the pictures, and the derogatory and abusive comments remain. Some women have been identified and when they report their pictures being stolen, they recieve various different automated resposes from Facebook, from saying that because they are "of age" they cannot remove them, to "the page does not meet the standards of hate speech". Supporters recieve similar messages, if they are lucky enough to recieve one at all.
There is a movement to have this page removed, as well as urge Facebook to review and reform thier rules and regulations which protect perpetrators of hate crimes against overweight individuals on the website. Among the BBW & BHM community it is a wide-held belief that Facebook has discriminatory practices when it comes to their rights in general, and removing THIS page is a start to changing the treatment we recieve.
Please sign this petition so that the bullying and abuse overweight people are facing on Facebook on a daily basis will end. We all deserve to feel beautiful, post a picture without fear of humiliation, and to live in a world free of abusive treatment.
