Tell DOD: Don't Do Business With Companies that Support Syria's Atrocities

A bipartisan group of US Senators wants the DOD to stop doing business with a Russian arms exporter that's supplying the Syrian government with weapons.

A letter to Leon Panetta from the senators says the Russian company, Rosoboronexport, sold 36 fighter jets to Syria in January alone and nearly a billion worth of weapons last year.

Despite UN estimates of 7500 people already murdered by the Syrian government and the Russian exporter's complicity in these deaths, the DOD just made a $375 million deal with the same company to buy military helicopters for the Afghanistan army, says the Associated Press.

Several news sources say the lawmakers protesting this deal told Panetta that "U.S. taxpayers should not be put in a position where they are indirectly subsidizing the mass murder of Syrian civilians." And they called on Panetta to use any available leverage to end Russia's support of Syria's atrocities.

Tell the DOD, Don't support companies that support the Syrian Massacres.
We, the undersigned, support the senators opposed to DOD dealings with companies that support the Syrian massacres.

As their letter to Panetta said, U.S taxpayers do not want to be put in a position of indirectly supporting the atrocities being committed by the Syrian Government against its people.

Furthermore we  join these lawmakers in their pleas to Panetta to use all available leverage to end Russian support of the Syrian government, as well as all Pentagon business dealings with Rosoboronexport and/or any other company supporting the massacres in Syria.

Thank you for your serious and prompt attention to these requests.
