Save Margarita Charykova from the Death in the Russian Prison

Margarita Charykova, 24, is dying in Russian prison right now. Young woman is disabled since early childhood. Because of her abnormal disease (she was born with no rectum), she experienced numerous surgeries and was anesthetized over 60 times in her lifetime. In December of 2012 she was arrested and accused of drug-trafficing, because she was using amphetamine as a painkiller of choice.

Without proper medical care in a prison hospital, every day could be her last one. Her health had seriously deteriorated. Her sigmoid colon had disassembled with her artificial rectum, two months without stools or purging procedures, she's slowly dying now. Despite all this, Russian investigative authorities do not consider her release on bail or parole and do not even sanction a full medical examination for formal reasons (her diagnosis is so rare it's not in the official list of illnesses that prevent detention; somehow, prison medics do not consider her state -- which could be described as "rotting alive" -- as serious enough).

We ask European Court of Human Rights and the Government of Russian Federation to release dying woman from prison because of her health condition and not let her die due to official neglect.
