Change the State Dance of Wisconsin

The state dance for Wisconsin is polka.  They say it is polka because of it's rich German culture.  If we were going to go off of historical background, shouldn't it be on who founded Wisconsin first?  The first European known to step onto Wisconsin ground was french: Jean Nicolet.  Picking a german dance is inconsiderate to what really made us Wisconsin.  It should be possibly the Bourre.  An upbeat traditional french dance.  Here is a link to view the dance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7n5o0cb66H4
