Demand lower beds in hotels for handicapped rooms

I need to express my concern for those who wish to use a handicapped hotel room. Handicapped hotel rooms are not booked much. The bathroom facilities are marvelous in my experience. However if the handicapped person cannot walk, the beds are FAR TOO HIGH!! How do they expect a person to shift from a wheelchair that is 2' or less from seat to ground to a bed that is higher than their hip?
Please, they must be made aware of the situation.
