Justice for Capone

On Tuesday march 20, 2018 our sweet pit bull, Capone was shot and killed for no reason other than that he was exploring around in someone's yard. See we have had him for almost 3 years. He would have been 3 in may. We got him at 6 weeks old. Where we moved we couldn't have him so we brought him to a trusted friend in another town. We didn't want to permanently get rid of him so we started looking for another place. He was only with our friends for 2 when a lady took his life. He had chewed through his kennel and got out. Our friends searched the neighborhood for him. They lived in the country and there is only 5 house on their street. They knocked on one ladies door and ask she had seen him and she said yes he was in her yard and she shot him. She lied and said he was chasing her chickens. We got the call around 7pm so my husband left to go get him and talk to the people. He spoke to the husband, which was very nice. The lady claimed she shot at the ground with a PISTOL and it ricocheted but , he was shot twice. The man admitted that that wasn't what happened. The lady seen him pee on her house, tried to yell at him but, he wouldn't "listen" to her so she shot him then dumped him in a gully like trash. She was not remorseful at all and cussed my husband like he was wrong for being there to find out what happened. She didn't just kill a dog, she killed my baby, my sons best friend and a pet that was loved by all. I cried for days and had to watch my kids grieve over this. I pray something gets done as it's under investigation now. We have to stop animal cruelty.
