Plea to Disney:
Star Wars fans, animation fans and kids young and old have been enamored with the Lucasfilm Animation Production of 'The Clone Wars' TV series. The cast and crew of the show has invested greatly in the themes, stories and characters that the show features and that investment has paid off. As a Community of fans, we have not only grown to love what the show has done for the name of Star Wars, but also what the show has done for all audiences who appreciate good television.
For the past five seasons, the show has aired on Cartoon Network in the United States. Recently, with the acquisition of Lucasfilm by the Walt Disney company, news, updates and details concerning the future of the show have become sparse. The concern posed by a large group of fans is that this turn of events could result in the sudden cancelation or hiatus of our beloved show.
Considering the extent of investment (on behalf of the cast/crew of the show and its' viewers) as well as other factors, such a hiatus or cancelation could be quite detrimental to fan opinion concerning how the Walt Disney company is handeling their new property.
As a group of fans, we urge you to keep the show running past season five, entrusting its conclusion to be handeled properly by the show runners (i.e. Dave Filoni). We also plead that the expected move to a disney owned network, such as Disney XD, be done in a timely fashion - not interrupting the flow of what fans have become used to over the course of five seasons.
