Joel Martos is a criminal he decimated the lives of the Borroto family. Martos is intensely violent he has already been caught multiple times stalking the Borroto residence for months now. And has actually broken in the house numerous amount of times. A few months ago Cary Borroto had filed a 5 year restraining order against Martos. After the fact he still pursued in breaking in the house until he finally did what he had supposedly mentioned to Cary and his 10 year old daughter before. And that was to torch their most prized possession the one place they could call home. Martos intently inflamed the Borroto's home. Now my family is left with absolutely nothing except for memories of this tragic event. The arsonist was arrested the very same night. Thank you to the neighbors that had their surveallance cameras running at the time it was certainly enough evidence to prove that Martos had committed the crime.
The very next day Martos had appeared to his hearing and somehow the judge (Sanchez Llorens) had released Martos on bond, house arrest, and on a GPS monitor. While clearly he should've been incarcerated for at least 6 months due to violating the 5 year restraining order Cary Borroto had demanded.
The outcome of all this is that my family is in grave danger. And they are living their lives in fear, knowing that the arsonist is out there possibly trying to find where they are. My 10 year old cousin no longer has a place where she can call home nor a bed she can sleep on, while Martos is free able to sleep in his own comfy bed. PLEASE sign this petition to show the State attorney's that what this judge did was wrong and that Martos should certainly be put behind bars at least till his next court date.

Joel Martos released on house arrest after torching his family's home out of spite by Judge Sanchez-Llorens. Three lives destroyed and no justice. Joel was released on bond and GPS monitoring house arrest until trial when he violated the restraining order detailing that if it is violated he would be incarcerated for six months without the possibility of bond. The family today lives in fear for their safety. A 10 year old daughter fears for her life and has been scarred for life mentally and emotionally by her father after he took advantage of arson on the empty house while the family was out on vacation. This man needs to go back to prison. Not only is he dangerous to the family, in our point of view he can possibly harmful to our society as well.
