Sicilian people consider themselves different from mainland Italians, and there is a very obvious barrier between Italy and Sicily in terms of culture, dialect, and history. Sicilians deserve to have the same sense of nationalism that Italians do, and in the age of technology and social media, what better way to show it than with an emoji?
