Urge The New Hampshire Governor To Require Paid Sick Leave For Workers!

The United States is the only industrialized nation in the world that does not require employers to provide paid leave to workers when they get sick. Taxpayers are footing the bill for a federal government woefully behind the times, as workers sick on the job cost the national economy $160 billion in lost productivity. There are numerous additional costs, including higher employee turnover; increased disease transmission; and rising healthcare premiums.

Fortunately, five states and a growing number of municipalities currently have paid sick leave laws – and they’re reaping numerous benefits as a result.

Paid sick leave reduces costs for employers; increases productivity; prevents disease and illness; and lowers healthcare costs overall. It's win-win-win for employers, employees, and society at-large.

It’s time for all states to put employers and workers first – and protect public health. Urge Governor Hassan of New Hampshire to pass a paid sick leave law today!

Governor Hassan:

We urge you to pass a paid sick leave law to protect workers and grow the economy.

Sincerely,

Petitioners
