Demand to Revoke the 1998 Sex Ed curriculum and Reinstate the 2015 curriculum Now!

The new Ontario government has revoked the 2015 sex ed curriculum and reinstated the 1998 curriculum for the 2018/2019 school year. This curriculum is outdated and does not teach students about consent, cyber-bullying or sexual orientation to name a few. As educators, parents, and citizens, we want our children to stay safe and raise them as open-minded, loving and supportive people knowing that we support them for who they are as well. We can not do that if we keep teaching this sex education curriculum from the 20th century. It is not inclusive or helpful for building the community we want.
