It has come to the attention of the undersigned that certain gym time at the Johnson School currently booked by Nahant Youth Basketball and St. Thomas CYO is not being utilized. Furthermore there has been substantial resistance on the part of Nahant Youth Basketball and St. Thomas CYO to release this time to permit other Nahant sports teams and organizations to obtain access to the gym during the times that it is not in use. The undersigned, all residents of Nahant, petition the Town of Nahant and the school board to review this issue and equitably reapportion the unused gym time between the interested Nahant youth organizations, including but not limited to Nahant Youth Soccer and Nahant Eastern League Basketball.
