Help the homeless in our own country

Thousands of people are now homeless in the US, we simply can't afford to live . I reside in CT been diagnosed with a brain tumor and still work just to rent a room which I would rather live outside because the room is awful. I been homeless for 8 years and a domestic violence survivor,he fractured my skull my rib and walked around with black eyes for weeks as a woman I should be able to get help. The Governor does not care . We need to address this matter . I know I'm not the only one. My abuser also ruined 4 cars of mine and there should be lawyers to help in civil suits against the abuser and get help for homeless families
