Italian American Museum evicting long standing Italian American tenant and restaurant for expansion

This 85 year old woman, Adele Sarno, has lived in her apartment for 50 years. As an expansion tactic, the Italian American Museum has tripled her rent, and she is now in court with them. Please sign the petition and share her story to shame the Italian American Museum.

Also share the story of the Italian restaurant Il Palazzo, whose location has been in the same family for decades. The owner's grandmother's photo hangs in the museum!

Let's send the message that killing what remains of Little Italy is not an acceptable way for the Italian American Museum to operate. The irony here is almost unbearable.
