STOP the felony prosecution of student who recorded a discussion with school staff!

Paul Boron, aged 13, was having a discussion with his principal and assistant principal in the reception area of the secretary's office, with the door open. He was being questioned about not serving some detentions. Paul recorded the conversation on his cell phone, when he notified the two staff members of what he was doing. At that point, all discussion ended, and the two staff members told him he was breaking the law. The staff members complained to the state's attorney office and Paul is being charged with a class 4 felony, which can affect him for the rest of his life. Paul was unaware that recording without consent was illegal; he was merely trying to protect himself by recording the discussion. Please sign and ask the Kankakee county state's attorney office to drop all charges against Paul NOW.
