with half the population of the UK owning a pet it is near impossible to find a rented property that accepts pets. This is a discrimination against those who love our furry friends. Its illegal to be discriminated against regarding race, religion, sexual orientation and I believe pet ownership in the rental market should also be illegal. Council properties can not discriminate against pets so why should private landlords be allowed to? As responsible pet owners we know our best friends are well looked after and well trained not to cause damage so why are we discriminated against??!! If you have 1 cat inevitably you'll have to pay a double deposit IF the landlord accepts pets yet having 6 children its just the usual deposit ( I have 2 boys and know they have caused me more clean ups than my pets ever have lol)
Please sign and lets stop this discrimination that leads to pets been re-homed, dumped or put to sleep for a roof over our heads.
