Demand that cremated remains deserve the same respect as a corpse

Someone stole and destroyed my moms ashes. My mom passed away when I was 8 years old and they were all I have left. Wisconsin does not have a law to prosecute the individuals that did this. I firmly believe that if it's illegal to dig up or dispose of a corpse it should also be illegal to dispose of cremated remains when they don't belong to you. The penalty should be the same for both crimes.
