Repeal NJ Law That Requires Lesbians to Have Sex With Men for Fertility Treatment

  • av: Sarah Rose

Four women are challenging a New Jersey law that unfairly targets LGBTQ couples who want to conceive a child through fertility treatments. As it stands, the law not only requires couples to prove that they are infertile through medical diagnosis - but also through proof of unprotected heterosexual sex.

One of the couples involved in the lawsuit - Erin and Marianne Krupa -  spent more than $25,000 on failed infertility treatment out of pocket after being denied coverage.

Naturally, this kind of law prevents LGBTQ couples from being able to easily pursue fertility treatment - which is discriminatory and unfair to couples.

New Jersey should not put roadblocks in the way of couples trying to start a family - no matter what their sexual orientation is.

Sign my petition and urge New Jersey to get rid of fertility laws that are unfairly biased against LGBTQ couples.
