legalization of collapsible batons

In my own opinion I believe the laws in texas are rather bogus I'm a young mother who feels the safety of women is grossly overlooked carrying a baton rather than a gun which could kill or hurt anyone in the vicinity is dangerous and needless a baton on the other hand will not only subdue an attacker but also give someone the chance to escape or get help 

Rather than bury someone punish them to the fullest extent
