Domestic abuse is a worldwide problem and it affects all religions, classes, education levels, and so on. In the United States, there are both men and women who abused by their spouses or partners for no good reason. The situation is even worse in Muslim nations because the marriages are arranged, the girls are often not allowed to go to school, and many girls are married off while they are still children. Wife beating is actually encouraged in these nations and some of these evil men go beyond that and do all kinds of terrible things to thier wives that make them fear for their lives. Also there is an issue of honor killings. There is no honor in taking the life of a woman who engange or may have been accused in engaging of sexual activity outside of marriage. Many rape victims are killed by spouses or male family members. If they want to kill someone it should be the rapist, not the victim!! No woman or girl should die for adultery or fornication when it is consensual. This is true oppresion and the men in these Muslim nations should be required by law to treat the girls and women like the beautiful wonderful people they are. When a wife does something to displease her husband there needs to be a discussion, not a beating. I mean, we never hear about the women beating the men over there for doing dumb stuff. These human rights violations need to stop immediately and all the girls should be able to go to school and reach the highest degrees those nations have to offer if they choose to do so in peace. Please take this to foreign relations and try to get a stop put to this.
