Okay so I firmly believe that the abolition of auto-correct is an advancement for society. I believe this for a few reasons:
To start, people constantly complain about how auto-correct has screwed them up in the past, so abolishing auto-correct will make them happy, at least temporarily. Now some complaints that I see with this are "But auto-correct saves me, I can't type" well guess what hun there's not a fucker on this planet that can type so we're all in the same boat. However, I can still foresee outrage at the fact that we will lose some XD auto-correct fail compilations, but i think that it will be even funnier seeing what people actually said, instead of how a computer incorrectly predicted it. This would also encourage more care and thought to be put into messages, meaning offensive, hurtful or stupid texts are less likely to see the light of day, and it would also develop our collective abysmal typing skills, and maybe then we'd all be slightly fucking competent.
