Justice for Fred Hampton

Fred Hampton was a member of the Black Panther Party who was killed during a police raid in December 1969. The officers dragged him out his bed while he was sleeping and shot him in the back of the head twice at point-blank range. A federal grand jury declined to indict any of the officers involved in 1970. His family later won a lawsuit for millions of dollars for his death. I am calling on the US Department of Justice and the state of Illinois to open a new criminal investigation into the death of Fred Hampton and prosecute any surviving officers involved in his death.
