In Pietermaritzburg there can be as many as 3-5 dead new born babies found in a week. Assist, a local non-profit and Non-government organisation, built a baby safe as a means to save such lives. Assist is now over flowing with these little rescued lives. Many of the babies have HIV/ AIDS and will never be adopted. These babies deserve a home, love and a family regardless how many years they may have to live due to their illness. We are also the capital for child rape IN THE WOLRD. These broken children, raped as young as a few months old, also need a place to heal, a place that they can be safe and call home.
To make matters worse, there is an expected 5.7 Million orphans in South Africa in 2015. We are not even coping with our current number of 3.6 Millions. Time is of the essence.
Assist currently has 29 babies and children in a small 3 bedroom house, run by Mark and Rene and their two small children, who all live in the same tiny house. They are embracing on a journey to raise money to buy a bigger property that will have 11 houses to give each child a family and love.
We need YOU to help us make this difference in the lives of these innocent victims of the madness of life, rape, abandonment and parent death.
We are appealing to the global community to search their hearts to make this a reality as our numbers keep growing. In one day we can get 3 new children. Please help us help these children.
