Stop Bush's Anti-Choice Supreme Court Nominee Samuel Alito!
President Bush has nominated the anti-choice Samuel Alito to replace the retiring Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor.
Judge Alito, who has been called "a favorite son of the political right," would likely vote to eviscerate or eliminate the protections of Roe v. Wade as a member of the Supreme Court.
As a member of the three-judge panel that heard Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pennsylvania v. Casey before the case went to the Supreme Court, Judge Alito wrote a dissent in which he argued for even more abortion restrictions than the Supreme Court eventually upheld in its decision.
This is it - we must rally together to oppose this nomination in the strongest possible terms, now that it's clear a woman's right to choose is at stake if Samuel Alito is confirmed to replace Justice O'Connor - a consistent defender of a woman's right to choose.
