A HUMBLE URGENT LETTER TO GEORGE W.BUSH

Dear President George W. Bush, it is so crucial for the United States to send a strong, immediate message to the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Meles Zenawi to stop killing, arresting and harassing the poor, unarmed people of Ethiopia, for merely participating in a so called free and fair election process. Victims include, political party leaders who legally participated as candidates of the election.

Dear Mr. President, the Ethiopian people strongly believe that you do have the heart, the courage, and the faith in the Loving Power of God to take immediate form of diplomatic and moral intervention to save the poor Ethiopian people dying as you read this petition, because they merely exercised their God-given freedom of speach. Dear Mr. President,we are deeply concerned and saddened beyond words about the conditions of Ethiopia right now. We have been following the news so closely from Ethiopia ,through the internet and other media sources and found out that unarmed civilians have been victimized by the unnecessary brutal military forces ordered by the prime minister Meles Zenawi. Dear Mr. President, the poor Ethiopian people always admire and give you credit  for your firm stands on most controversial issues that test your faith and wisdom. We appreciate that you keep showing the world that you really are a God-fearing person. Financially challenged, yet wise Ethiopian people share those strong values and morals often expressed by you and hence in times like this, we fully trust that you are the right person capable to give us your ears and heart, totally.  May God bless you so much for being a man of honesty, courage and above all a God-fearing human being. Now,  Ethiopian people need your immediate attention!!!! Although, Ethiopian people are still dying of hunger and AIDS, as you read this letter they are dying physically and mentally of something even more uglier,  and yet preventable cause-- brutal military attack by the ruling government. We have a  leader that is so good and capable to show different faces as it fits,  to fulfill his needs.  He managed to convince some political leaders of the USA, including former president of Jimmy Carter, that he is a progressive leader and is fighting global terrorism.    Dear President Bush, I and my poor people of Ethiopia  found this profile of him  presented to you so disturbing and very far from the truth.  How on earth, he can be capable to fight terrorism globally, while he himself ordering a military action to beat, kill and harass his own unarmed people just because they are asking a simple question, free and fair election process, nothing more.  Election process could include frauds and some errors, even to the most civilized countries, we all agree to that; but what kind of democracy process send candidates of political parties to prison??  Something for sure is wrong. Dear President,  you yourself and other collegues of yours were a presidential candidate not long ago, none of you guys, thank God, haven't been arrested for the comments, opinion, and or strategic information you shared with your campaign members.  We, Ethiopians have a complete faith in you,  that you will take this matter seriously and act immediately with your God given wisdom, love, moral and values. Dear President Bush,  Ethiopian people including those dying of AIDS and poverty, had a great hope than ever on May 15, 2005, they believed they are going to exercise a thing called democracy, a word they heard so many times on radios and read on papers, so  they went to the election booth and submitted their ballots. Mr. President, democracy didn't take place and is not taking place at all. Instead, people including leaders of the political parties who legally participated in this election, are dying, being arrested, and being beaten. We will include some pertinent web sites that will show you how Ethiopian people asking human rights and democracy, are being treated by the ruling government right at this moment.  Due to the military order given by the prime minister of Meles Zenawi,  the poor people of Ethiopians are right now brutally being attacked by the military force.  These poor people are asking nothing but  fair and free election process.  Instead the people are being beaten, dying and being harassed. Dear President Bush, we Ethiopians need your kind attention immediately. You are the right person for this particular tragedy to bring solution, we have seen you always on most controversil issues that require God's guidance and practical intervention, you remain to be truthful to God, to yourself and the people you have been helping, and above all you are always humble, so we have chosen you today to listen to us and most of all to listen to our brothers and sisters dying of AIDS and poverty as you are reading this letter, who also submitted their ballots, hoping they see something  positive before they are dying soon. Mr. President, we need you to help us reveal and uncover the wrong doings, the unfair and multiple personalities of our prime minister. We Ethiopians are not known for accusing people wrongly, we fear God above all things. Yes, unfortunately Ethiopia might be known globally of its people dying from AIDS and poverty, but Ethiopians remain to be God-fearing, honest and hard working people. Please, President Bush, show the humble Ethiopian people, specially those dying of  AIDS and poverty some lights of hope, show them that there are God-fearing leaders who use their power to unease deep penetrated pain, caused by unfairness, hatred and selfishness. Mr. President, please show them that there are really people and leaders left in this world, who do unselfish things for all the right reasons. Mr. President, we fully trust that you are that kind of leader that is capable to feel pain of others, without the need to be in their shoes, so many times we have witnessed your kind speach followed by sincere tears from heart . We, know that you are blessed to sense other pains, and hence we ask you, humbly, Mr. President, to do something immediately because people in Addis Ababa's street are dying for exercising their freedom of speech, for saying that votes of their poor mothers and fathers have been stolen.  These Ethiopians being killed right now are College students of poor mothers and fathers who sacrificed all their lives to put their children to College. These children are dying on the street saying "don't steal our poor mom and dads' election votes". These students  were shouting : "We are only students not army". Dear President, please hear that  painful shouts- which we know it is too far and the voices are too weak because of hopelessness and  other additional factors, hungers and AIDS.  But again, you are capable- because of the special heart God placed inside of you!! The voices are then, not too far to you. May God bless you and assist you in whatever actions you decide to take. Looking so much forward to hear from you!!!!!! May One God of this planet bless you, your lovely family and your special country. We heard remarks before, that USA only extend its helping hands to the other nations, only if it receives something in return. But as a God fearing people, we don't buy that remark and other comments based on simply generalizations, because we know America is founded by God-fearing people and always remain to be a land of greatness in every aspects.
