Charge Russian Factory For Abusing Migrant Workers

Vietnamese textile workers have been kept in excruciatingly inhumane conditions for 18 months in a factory near Moscow, Russia. The workers were beaten regularly, deprived of food and water, and paid next-to-nothing--yet the factory is only facing an administrative fee.

The factory owners are getting away with extreme abuse--as they have slipped by without any criminal charges. Workers displayed obvious signs of exploitation, as many had red rashes on their bodies because they had to forfeit showering for over two months. According to recent reports, 75 people shared four rooms--two of which were windowless.

Workers were lured into the job with the promise of good positions and pay--but nearly half of their paychecks were withheld for "food and accommodation fees." Since the workers had to pay $2,000 to get the position, they unfairly remained indebted to the factory.

An administrative fee is not enough! Charge Russian factory for extreme abuse of immigrant workers!
Dear Russian Government,

The "administrative fee" is a completely inadequate punishment for the textile factory owners that kept Vietnamese immigrants in slave-like conditions. Don't let this disturbing incident of immigrant abuse slip through the cracks of human rights regulations.

The factory workers were blatantly deprived of basic human rights--and a slap on the wrist is simply not enough for such brutal crimes. Food, water, and wages were all withheld from the abused workers, who could barely afford bread and rice to make it through the day.

The workers were regularly beaten, and all for a job that left them in debt due to completely unjust accommodation fees and slave-wages.

Stop ignoring the heinous crimes against migrant factory workers!

Sincerely,
