Petition INTERPOL to FIRE and PROSECUTE General Ahmed Nasser al-Raisi and punish the UAE foreign ministry

Recently, General Raisi was elected Interpol's president after three rounds of voting by member states at the agency's general assembly in Istanbul, Turkey. His duties will include chairing meetings of the executive committee and supervising the work of Secretary General Jürgen Stock.

This is horrible considering General Ahmed Nasser al-Raisi is a criminal and government thug responsible for falsely imprisoning and torturing innocent people according to Human Rights Watch. This violates Human Rights and International Law.

In addition, Raisi’s nomination to Interpol presidency is a serious attack on the values it stands for. His complicity in systematic torture and abuse is legitimised through Interpol and gives a green light to other authoritarian states that they can act without impunity.

Not only does this monster needs to be removed from Interpol but we need to deliver justice for his innocent victims including Matthew Hedges.

As someone who lives in Dubai, I’m increasingly becoming disgusted with this country and complete disregard for human value and general decency.
