Dr. Larry Nassar, former USA Gymnastics team doctor for four Olympic Games and an employee at Michigan State University, has been accused of sexually abusing more than 150 girls and women over the course of almost 20 years.

In a Lansing, Michigan, court this week he was forced to listen to his victims.

"You manipulated me into thinking you were the good guy and helping me, while sexually abusing me over and over and over for your own twisted pleasure," stated Jamie Dantzscher, a 2000 Olympic bronze medalist. "You are pure evil," she added.

"Dr. Nassar was not a doctor," read Olympic gold medalist McKayla Maroney's statement. "He in fact is, was, and forever shall be a child molester, and a monster of a human being."

But why did it take so long for these horrible secrets to emerge?

It was a cover-up. The Detroit News reveals that reports of Nassar's sexual misconduct reached no fewer than 14 officials at Michigan State over the past 2 decades, but no action was taken.

Even worse, Michigan State President Lou Anna Simon knew of a Title IX investigation in 2014, and was aware there was a police report and didn't even bother to read it.

This is unacceptable.

It is imperative that Lou Anna Simon step down from her position as President of Michigan State University, in order to give 150 young women the chance to move on with their lives after their horrific abuse.
