Relief for Homeowners, Accountability for Greedy Banks

Big Banks' greed and recklessness plunged us into a devastating financial crisis, but they also defrauded consumers. 7.5 million homes have entered the foreclosure process and another 4.8 million homeowners are at risk.

The collapse of the housing market and widespread abuses of homeowners are holding back our economy. We need real mortgage relief to keep people in their homes, prevent the banks from exploiting us, and put us on the path to real recovery.

It's time to set things right -- and not with a slap on the wrist. Unfortunately some state attorneys general are considering just that. To get the best deal for homeowners and make sure the banks are held fully accountable for their reckless misconduct, we need to speak out.

Tell your state attorney general you want real accountability for banks' greed, not another giveaway.
Dear [Decision Maker],

The greed and recklessness of mortgage bankers plunged our economy into a devastating financial crisis. Now, the collapse of the housing market and widespread abuses of homeowners are holding back our economic recovery. We can't allow these irresponsible banks to get away with their misconduct with a slap on the wrist.

7.5 million homes have entered the foreclosure process and another 4.8 million homeowners are at risk. We need to set things right by doing everything we can to keep people in their homes and hold banks accountable for the mess they've made.

Please put homeowners above banker greed and hold banks truly accountable for their actions.
