We do not welcome the new shift change. The new shift change will create an unhealthy and potentially hostile work environment.

The 36/48 hour work shift allows employs to enjoy every other weekend off. This flexibility will be taken away as it subjects some to partial weekends and others no weekends. It also potentially force day-shift operators to second and third shift. While some will be granted the benefit of staying on first shift and receiving partial weekends, others will be forced to work 2nd and 3rd shift positions with no weekends off. We are petitioning to keep the current 36/48 hour work shift and strike to have the "new" shift enforced.
