Victoria's Secret: Donate, Don't Destroy

Recently, a Victoria's Secret customer was stunned when the $70 unworn sweatpants she returned were destroyed right before her very eyes. The reason? To maintain their "brand integrity" -- Victoria's Secret doesn't want to make less money off of returned clothes in their stores or on the secondary market.

Tell Victoria's Secret to stop this wasteful practice.

By destroy returned clothing, Victoria's Secret is not following standard industry practice. Instead, the lingerie giant is simply producing more waste -- and destroying perfectly good clothing that could be donated to secondhand stores, disaster victims or developing nations.

Urge Victoria's Secret to use more sustainable business practices.
Dear Ms. Greeley,

Recently, a Victoria's Secret customer was outraged after the unworn sweatpants she returned were cut up by an employee.

I am writing to urge you to stop this wasteful practice. Rather than destroying perfectly good clothing, your company should donate it to people that desperately need it.
