Thank Gillard and Abbott for Their Bipartisan Support of Indigenous Australians

In a rare act of bipartisanship, Federal Parliament has introduced a bill to recognise Indigenous Australians in the constitution.

Prime Minister Gillard and Opposition Leader Tony Abbott both spoke of the importance of recognising Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the Constitution.

Thanks to the huge amount of media coverage generated by the uplifting events in the nation's capital, even more Australians have signed up to the cause of recognition.

Take a moment to thank Prime Minister Gillard and MP Abbott for their show of bipartisan recognition and reconciliation towards the First Australians.
Dear Prime Minister Gillard and MP Abbott,

Thank you for standing together to support the Constitutional recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

This is a movement in which all Australians can participate, and your show of bipartisanship will increase interest among all Australians.

Please continue to stand with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as they continue on their journey towards Constitutional recognition.

Thank you.
