Most children look forward to the break from school during the summer months. But for too many children in central and western Oklahoma, no school means no food.

For these children, the food they receive from the free or reduced price school meal program are their most reliable source of nutritious food. And when these programs shut down for the summer, they're left with nothing to eat. No child should go hungry because school is out for the summer.
