SAVE INTERNET RADIO

A Decision is about to be made concerning the last frontier of independent programming. RIAA, the Recording Institute Association of America, is trying to influence Washingtion to make webcasters pay a royalty which mainstream radio does not have to pay. If they succeed, these independent webcasters, who are in it only for love of music, will go out of business, many already have, because they cannot pay such royalties as 2 or 3 times their gross revenue. THEY NEED OUR HELP
THis is not another Napster. These programs benefit consumers, artists, and record companies alike, but they must take their business practices into the future instead of trying to derail this form of media, that is only beginning to grow. Corporate America cannot spoon feed us how to dress and what kind of music to listen to forever.

CARP, the Copyright Arbitration Royalty Panel, will make a decision on Tuesday that affects the future of music on the web. These programs offer the chance to listen to new music in full form, not copy form, before we decide to buy. This is something america will always thirst for NEW MUSIC. I want artists to be compensated, and these stations allow people to hear artists that they would never be exposed to on mainstream radio. I'm lost in words, for some understandable information go to saveinternetradio.org
