Stand with Gun Violence Victims, Tell Rep. Cantor: It's Time for a Vote on Background Checks

Too many American families are devastated by gun violence. Every day Representative Eric Cantor and Congress don't act to stop gun violence, 282 people are shot, and 86 of them are killed.

Right now in Congress, our representatives are considering legislation that would expand and strengthen background checks -- an important step toward keeping guns out of the hands of dangerous people. Making sure that people who buy guns at gun shows have to pass background checks is something that 92 percent of Virginians support.

Join Lori Haas, mother of a VA Tech survivor, and others victims of gun violence and their family members in telling House Majority Leader Eric Cantor: it is time to lead and do what's right. Hold a vote to strengthen background checks.
To: Rep. Eric Cantor, United States Congress, Virginia's Seventh District:

Background checks are an important step toward keeping guns out of the hands of dangerous people.

As one of your constituents, I urge you to support expanding background checks and schedule a vote for H.R. 1565 on the floor of the House of Representatives.

Thank you.

Sincerely,
