All women deserve equal pay for equal work. There are more women in the workforce than ever before and they're helping to drive our economy forward. But women working full time and year-round are paid 80 cents on average for every dollar paid to men. The math is even worse for most women of color — black women earn just 61 cents for every dollar that white men make, and Latinas are paid only 53 cents on the dollar.

Women work hard and contribute — it's time to pay them fairly.

The Paycheck Fairness Act would help to ensure equal pay for equal work, protect women from retaliation for discussing their pay with colleagues, and support employers as well as employees to achieve fair pay practices.
