Tell Baltimore City Leaders: Fast Track 5G Wireless NOW
Baltimore is poised to be the next great US city to bring state-of-the-art 5G network technology to life. This is our chance to get the ultra-fast wireless connectivity we need now, and the foundation we need for what's next — if enough of us ask for it.
If you want 5G here in Baltimore, elected officials need to hear your voice right away.
What would 5G look like? Lightning-fast mobile connectivity — eventually up to 20 times faster than 4G. And staggering network capacity — imagine sharing crystal clear video from the middle of a sold-out Ravens game. But 5G isn't just the next "G" in your phone — it's a societal game-changer on par with the advent of electric power a century ago.
And just like a century ago, 5G's greatest breakthroughs have yet to be imagined. Think 'smart' traffic lights that cut traffic, immersive learning through augmented reality, even remote, robot-assisted medical procedures. It's not just about faster phone speeds. 5G has the real potential to fuel breakthroughs in how we live and experience the world, making the 'next big thing' a new reality.
But to bring 5G to Baltimore, and claim our position as a national "Smart City" leader, our elected officials need to know there's widespread public support. With a new city administration considering their priorities, we have a rare opportunity right now to make clear that the public's priority is to move forward with 5G.
Tell Mayor Jack Young and Baltimore officials to fast-track the 5G rollout and help open up new ways for our community to live, learn, work, and play.

Dear Mayor Jack Young and Baltimore City Council,
As a local community member, I'm writing to urge you to seize the opportunity you now have to fast track 5G for Baltimore and move our city forward. The benefits to people who live and work in Baltimore, to local businesses and to the entire community are too great to let municipal delays get in the way:- As a college town with an eye on keeping graduates, Baltimore must appeal to tech-savvy populations,
especially young professionals who require significantly more data, faster upload/download speeds, and the lower latency that 5G achieves.- If Baltimore is to transform into a Smart City, we will need 5G to reach our fullest potential
through 5G-connected devices helping city departments achieve operational efficiencies, reduce costs and energy use, manage traffic and cut emissions, improve public safety response times, and more.
This is your chance not only to deliver for your constituents, but to demonstrate thought leadership and be part of transforming our region into a national 5G leader. The future is here. The future is now. And Baltimore should be a part of it. Please do whatever you can to help accelerate the 5G rollout for Baltimore.
