Reconsider withdrawal of subsidy for cricket on Staplefield Common

The playing of village cricket in Staplefied and Ansty is an important part of village life. Our villages would be the poorer without it and it is an indispensable factor in bringing visitors to our pubs and social clubs, without which they may struggle to survive.

Very little team sport exists nowadays without an element of public subsidy. We petition each and every member of Ansty and Staplefied Parish Council to do everything in their power to ensure the important tradition of village cricket continues.
